Per quanto riguarda la gara, invece, la vittoria è andata a Ruaridh Cunningham (campione del mondo Dh junior nel 2007) che a fine gara ha dichiarato: «Il percorso era incredibilmente difficile e da un punto di vista fisico e mentale è stato il più difficile che abbia mai affrontato. Sono felice che nessuno si sia fatto male, ma soprattutto di aver vinto».
